How to use the scientific calculator

Enter mathematical expressions using the buttons or keyboard. For functions like sin, cos, tan, log, and ln, press the button then enter the value in parentheses. Use DEG mode for degrees or RAD for radians in trigonometric functions.

Available functions

Trigonometric: sin, cos, tan (in degrees or radians). Logarithms: log (base 10), ln (natural). Others: √ (square root), ^ (power), % (percentage), π (pi = 3.14159...). Use parentheses to group complex operations.

Keyboard shortcuts

Numbers (0-9): enter digits. Operators (+, -, *, /): basic operations. Enter or =: calculate result. Escape or C: clear. Backspace: delete last character. Period (.): decimal separator. Parentheses: group expressions.

RAD vs DEG mode

DEG (degrees): a full rotation = 360°. Use this mode for common angles like 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°. RAD (radians): a full rotation = 2π radians. Use this mode for scientific and engineering calculations. Conversion: 180° = π radians.
