What is BAC?
Blood Alcohol Content measures the concentration of alcohol in the blood, expressed as a percentage. A BAC of 0.08% means 0.08 grams of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
Factors affecting BAC
Weight, sex, amount and speed of consumption, food in the stomach, individual tolerance, and medications affect how your body processes alcohol.
Legal limits
In most countries, the legal driving limit is 0.05% or 0.08%. However, driving ability can be impaired at much lower levels.
